In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

Our mission is to expand access to quality, affordable fertility care to everyone who has been left behind by the traditional fertility industry. We have designed our care options, including In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), to be simplified and more transparent in order to make your care easier to understand and fit your budget.

What is In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)?

Considered the gold standard of assisted reproductive technology, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) produces the highest success rate of nearly 3X the rate of natural fertility.

In IVF, eggs are obtained from a woman’s ovaries and put together with sperm to create embryos. The embryos are nurtured in our incubators for several days and then placed in a woman’s uterus or in a biological pause (cryopreserved, vitrified) for future use.

IVF offers distinct advantages for individuals who have previously undergone a sterilization procedure such as tubal ligation or vasectomy. It provides a nonsurgical way for these couples to conceive. Also, when used in conjunction with PGT-A testing IVF can be an effective method to avoid passing on certain genetic diseases.

More on IVF

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a method of assisted reproductive technology (ART) that involves the fertilization of eggs with sperm outside of the woman’s body in a laboratory setting. IVF is typically used when other fertility treatments have failed or when there are underlying medical conditions that prevent natural conception.
The IVF process begins with the administration of fertility medications to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs. The eggs are then retrieved through a minimally invasive surgical procedure called follicular aspiration, which involves the insertion of a needle through the vaginal wall and into the ovaries.
Once the eggs are retrieved, they are combined with sperm in a laboratory dish and incubated for several days. During this time, the fertilized eggs are monitored for development and quality of embryos.
After a few days, one of the best quality embryos is selected for transfer back into the woman’s uterus using a thin, flexible catheter.
The remaining embryos can be cryopreserved for future use.
Approximately two weeks after the embryo transfer, a pregnancy test is typically performed to confirm whether or not the IVF procedure was successful.
