Frozen Embryo Transfer
Our mission is to expand access to quality, affordable fertility care to everyone who has been left behind by the traditional fertility industry. We have designed our care options, including Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET), to be simplified and more transparent in order to make your care easier to understand and fit your budget.
What is a Frozen Embryo Transfer?
Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) is a fertility procedure that involves the transfer of embryos previously cryopreserved into a woman’s uterus.
FET is commonly used in assisted reproductive technologies (artificial insemination) such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). It is preferred over fresh embryo transfers due to its greater flexibility in the timing of the transfer and uterine preparation. This provides several advantages for our patients:
- A Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) has a higher success rate compared to fresh embryo transfers because the embryos have been cryopreserved and thawed. This improves their survival rate.
- FET provides greater flexibility in the timing of embryo transfer and uterus preparation. This allows doctors to schedule the transfer when the uterus is most receptive, which can increase the chances of success.
Is a Frozen Embryo Transfer right for you?
Couples who would benefit from Frozen Embryo Transfer include people that have already gone through an IVF treatment cycle and still have embryos left.
