What to Expect During Your FET Cycle
Every cycle is personal, but knowing what to expect can make the process feel more manageable. Your care team will guide you through each stage and keep you informed along the way.
- Prepare your uterine lining: Medication is used to help prepare the lining of your uterus for pregnancy.
- Monitor your progress: Ultrasounds and bloodwork help your care team determine when your lining is ready.
- Thaw and transfer your embryo: Your embryo is carefully thawed and placed in the uterus through a thin catheter. The procedure is typically brief and does not require anesthesia.
- Test for pregnancy: After the transfer, you’ll return for pregnancy testing and, if positive, an early ultrasound.
