A Fertility Leader in San Antonio.

Our mission is to expand access to quality, affordable fertility care to everyone who has been left

behind by the traditional fertility industry. We have designed our care options, including our Frozen

Embryo Transfer (FET) to be more transparent in order to make your care easier to understand and fit

your budget.

What is a Frozen

Embryo Transfer?

Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) is a fertility procedure that involves the transfer of embryos previously

cryopreserved into a woman’s uterus.

FET is commonly used in assisted reproductive technologies (artificial insemination) such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). It is preferred over fresh embryo transfers due to its greater flexibility in the timing of the transfer and uterine preparation. This provides several advantages for our patients:

• A Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) has a higher success rate compared to fresh embryo transfers

because the embryos have been cryopreserved and thawed. This improves their survival rate.

• FET provides greater flexibility in the timing of embryo transfer and uterus preparation. This allows

doctors to schedule the transfer when the uterus is most receptive, which can increase the chances of

success.

How Does Frozen

Embryo Transfer Work?

Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) is a fertility treatment procedure that

involves the transfer of previously cryopreserved embryos into a woman’s uterus.

Cryopreserved embryos are embryos that have been frozen and stored for future use. The procedure is also commonly known as Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET).

FET is often used in assisted reproductive technologies such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), where the embryo is first fertilized in a laboratory setting and then

cryopreserved for future use. In a FET procedure, the frozen embryo is thawed

and then placed in the uterus of the woman at a specific time in her menstrual cycle

when the uterine lining is receptive to the embryo.

FET is often preferred over fresh embryo transfers because it allows for more flexibility in the timing of the transfer and the preparation of the woman’s uterus. It

also offers a higher success rate in certain cases, such as in women with irregular

menstrual cycles or in those who are undergoing cancer treatments that may affect

their fertility.

Overall, FET is a safe and effective way to help couples achieve pregnancy, and

it has become a widely used technique in modern fertility treatments.
